Playing the piano and discovering the polymorphic fields of music, became part of my every day life from when I was 8 years old. Since then, all my inner and outer journeys were consciouly or unconsciously related to my music explorations and vice versa. I studied piano and harmony in Greece and Denmark and sociology and musicology in the UK. I have received first prize and distinction in 2 national competitions in Greece and have attended many seminars and master-classes in piano, physical theatre, contemporary dance, Alexander technique, creative teaching, improvisation and voice in Greece, UK, Denmark and USA (Julyen Hamilton, Gudrun Finder, Apostolia Papadamaki, Eleni Skotti, Maj Seidelin, Madeline Bruser, Alberto Portugheis, Engen Indjic, Amalie Malling, Kenneth Van Barthold, Yo Yo Ma, Christos Papageorgiou, et al). I have collaborated with "Costeas Geitonas" conservatoire, Onasis Cultural Centre, Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Planetarium, Michalis Kakogiannis, Olvio theatre, Armata festival, Edinburgh festival and with various creative groups ("Tedx Academy", "AB3 Athens Biennale", "ex animo", "playroom", "Quilombo", "abariza").

From a very young age I experimented with different sounds. When I was around 10 years old I used to crumble paper, record it and then press play to listen. Sounds like a wheel on soil, walking on different surfaces (pebbles, snow, leaves, marble, wood, etc), wind moving leaves, silence that follows intense sounds and anything in nature or in the city that can be heard when walking from one destination to the next, drew my attention and created vivid emotions. These emotions are trully what drove me towards the need to create. Improvising with sounds and on the piano is something that came naturally, but didn't get the same attention as technique and learning to read scores, as it has not yet received the importance it has within the classical music education in Greece. When I received my degrees as a pianist, I realised I had a strong need to create my own musical path. Since then I have written music for various creative projects. My main source of inspiration is nature. She is I believe the highest "form" of art and the closer I get to her, the easier it becomes for me to understand who I am. This openness is my basic means of creation.

For the last 15 years I work passionately with teaching music, piano and improvisation, writing music and exploring different ways of combining various art forms. I believe information becomes knowledge through experience and I incorporate this using different means (mainly through combining the intellectual with the physical) whilst teaching and creating.
